About Your 1 Series
Originally brought onto the market in 2004, the BMW 1 series is a diverse, sporty model available in coupe, convertible and hatchback body styles. Before the 1 series the 3 series compact was once the smallest and least expensive model within BMW’s vehicle range until the 1 series took the title in 2004.
The 1 series first appeared on the market as a 5 door hatchback, the three door hatchback and 2 door coupe and convertible models didn’t appear until 3 years later in 2007. It was this exact year where the original 5 door hatchback received an automotive facelift, where changes were made to the engine, power steering, bumpers and interior. The vehicle’s fuel economy was also improved under BMW’s ‘EfficientDynamics’ approach. In 2011, the coupe and convertible models received a makeover of their own.
